The Verdict

One of the few overlooked items of your UTV is undoubtedly a seat. Outside of the overall upgraded visual aesthetics that they provide, one of the main reasons is comfort. Depending on the UTV you own, a comfortable seat makes all the difference at the end of a long day of riding. The Kawasaki Teryx, Yamaha Rhino and Arctic Cat Prowlers, in our opinion, offer very little in the way of seat comfort. If you own any of these three UTVs, do your body a favor and upgrade. On the opposite side of the spectrum, the Polaris RZR and the Can-Am Commander offer seats that offer more cushion and higher back support. But like anything, there is always room for improvement. For Commander owners, aftermarket seats offer a durable and easy to clean fabric or material that will wear longer and be less susceptible to minor cuts, tears and mud stains. Depending on the seat option you choose, they can also be lighter, offer better containment, comfort, and style that will last for years.

When it comes to the RZR, there are benefits as well. We received a set of Triple X’s Black Ostrich X3 seats with red piping to match our 2011 Polaris RZR XP for a recent trip to Moab, Utah. Unlike other aftermarket seats that are available, Triple X has figured out an easy way to remove your RZR seats with a simple strap handle that clips on to your factory seat latch and is accessible at the upper back section of the seat. A simple tug on the strap handle releases the seat latch. No more reaching around the seat to get access to the latch.

On the trail, the X3 seats offered improved comfort through hard hitting sections, better containment when railing through tight, twisty corners on the trail, and instantly upgraded the look of our ride. For larger people, tall or wide like us, they might consider Triple X’s Freestyle or Sport model seats that feature lower sides for better side-toside fitment. If you are looking for a well made, stylish seat that cradles you and won’t tire your backside while driving, then look into the X3 model from Triple X. For a little extra leg and posterior room, go for the Freestyle or Sport model. All seat options are available for the Teryx, Rhino, Prowler, Commander and RZR models in a wide array of material choices.
