Not the type to leave well enough alone we started out with a clean sheet of paper and set out to make the absolute best product on the market. We took our best selling product and re-designed it from the ground up. The differences are many from the Gen1 bases. First the new bases are lazer cut from 1/8 steel and powdercoated black for a very clean finish. Through extensive testing with our Gen1 & GEN2 seat bases we found that with PRP or other suspension seats the seat would bottom out on the base not allowing full travel of the seat. To fix this the new T-3 Seat Bases feature an open center design allowing the seat to work the way it was intended, and provide a much improved level of comfort on hard landings and G-outs. Next up was to adress how they slide in to the factory mounting. The GEN1 seat base was bent up to keep them tight. This works great but we felt there was a better way to do it. What we did to make them even better was design and engineer a new urethane bushing that bolts to the bases and slides right in like factory. This makes for a very tight, rattle free fit. Also we included holes at the front of the bases to allow the use of the factory snubbers to further tighten up the seats and reduce rattles and metal to metal contact. Included in each kit is all the hardware needed to install them and easy to follow step by step instructions. GEN3 seat bases will work with Factory seats, PRP seats, Beard, Jet Trim, and any other aftermarket seats that use the factory mounting style. Mastercraft seats require drilling (they use a different mounting), and they do not work with factory seat belts. The factory seat will hit the factory seat belt retractors.
